Elmer S. Webb, 61, manager of the Jefferson Square Branch of the Purdue National Bank, died of a heart attack at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at his home, 315 N. 26th St. He had worked at the bank all day Thursday and his death was most unexpected. In addition to his position as manager of the Jefferson Square Branch, he was assistant cashier of Purdue National Bank. He was born at Wingate and was employed at the Wingate Bank before moving to Lafayette 35 years ago to take employment with Purdue National. He was a member of Congress Street Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow, the former Frances Bunnell; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Ralson of Milwaukee, Wis., and Mrs. John Gilkey of Dayton, Ohio, and a brother, Eugene F. Webb, manager of Southworth's Village Store, West Lafayette. Mr. Webb's sister-in-law, Mrs. Chitra Bunnell, 48, Crawfordsville, died earlier Thursday after an illness of six months. Mrs. Bunnell, who died in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, was the wife of Frank Bunnell, a Montgomery County commissioner.

WEBB, Elmer S.---Friends may call at Hippensteel Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Saturday. Services in Hippensteel Chapel at noon Sunday, because of funeral of sister-in-law, Mrs. Frank Bunnell; the Rev. Barton E. Fletcher and the Rev. Earl Heimburger officiating. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wingate. Three Granddaughters and one grandson survive.
